Minister of Communications Naim Thajeel Al-Rubaie on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding with Jordan's Minister of Communications Muthanna Hamdan Gharaibeh on the speaker's inter-Internet capabilities and fiber optic exploitation.
Al-Rubaie stressed on the need to take the necessary capacities for the Internet from the neighbouring countries of Iraq, and that the Ministry of Communications is equipped for these capacities and all private sector companies in Iraq, has also been talking about the station Trebil as an outlet to receive border capacities with the State of Jordan.
For his part the Jordanian Minister welcomed of this initiative and expressed his government's readiness to cooperate with Iraq in all areas especially with regard to the telecommunications sector and seek to provide the best communications services for the two peoples and agree on a formula to pass the capacity through the border crossings between the two countries.
