Health teams vaccinate slum dwellers in Najaf

Department of Health in Najaf announced upon launching a vaccination campaign for slum dwellers around the city.

“14 health teams started this campaign for the regular and flu vaccinations,” said the head of Health Department in Najaf to INA

“The slum dwellers and remote areas have the priority considering its exceptional environmental state that requires extra efforts and hence, to deliver the health services” he added, “the teams are exerting great efforts accordingly and they so keen on covering the whole areas”

This campaign will be ongoing for 5 days aiming at vaccinating all the concerned children in the areas between Al Ghadeer village and Hay Al-Askary in Najaf, asserted the head of Immunization Department, Ahmed Hameed.

“Around 2000 families are inhabitants in this area,” he added, “An approval has been made by the head of Health Department to make a ‘Health Center’ in this area to deliver weekly vaccination sessions”
