The Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, held an expanded meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, Lieutenant General Nadeem Reza Nishan, on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Defense stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “upon an official invitation by the Chief of Staff of the Army, an official reception took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense today, an official reception for the Chief of Staff of the Pakistani Army and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of senior officers of the Ministry of Defense with his Pakistani counterpart, an expanded meeting was discussed during which the prospects for cooperation and coordination between the two countries were discussed and the exchange of experiences in various fields.
He added, "Defense Minister Jumah Enad Saadoun also received in his office the Chief of Staff of the Pakistani army and his accompanying delegation, and during the meeting they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields."
