The Ministry of Electricity announced that the levels of Iranian gas payment have been raised to five million cubic meters, indicating that the received quantities meet only 10 percent of the actual need of the stations.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmad Musa, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Yesterday, Thursday, the quantities of gas arriving from Iran were re-increased to five million cubic meters, after the quantities reaching the country did not exceed three million cubic meters." Pointing out that "the ministry's need of gas reaches 50 million cubic meters, and that the received quantities meet only 10 percent of the actual need for the stations."
