The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, discussed today, Thursday, with the Secretary-General of the Iraqi National Project, Jamal Al-Dhari, and the latest developments in the country.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "The President of the Republic received the Secretary General of the Iraqi National Project, to discuss developments in the country."
He added, "The meeting stressed the necessity of convergence and dialogue in order to achieve the supreme interest of the country, to strengthen social cohesion, and to work to ensure security and stability."
He continued, "The meeting indicated the importance of the upcoming elections, with the necessity to fulfill conditions of integrity and justice in organizing them, preventing fraud and manipulation, continuing structural reform and combating corruption, leading to rational and servant governance for all citizens."
